Lake of The Ozarks Shootout 2022

The last week in August is one that's marked on our calendars every year. The Lake Of The Ozarks Shootout is one of a kind and perhaps the biggest, baddest performance boating event of the year.

The team made the 11 hour drive down to spend time with customers, our dealer Performance Boat Center, and see what involvement we can have in the future.

The event was nothing short of spectacular. Every day there was an event that topped the one before it. For myself and Ryan, it was our first time attending the event and we were blown away.

The team attended the street party Wednesday evening, PBC's party and video premiere featuring M Con's Tyler Miller Thursday night, a poker run Friday and the shootout Saturday. Needless to say there was plenty to talk about on the drive home.

Throughout the week we were accompanied by Jason Cornish and his family. Jason is the proud owner of a 32CCX, but is no stranger to the brand. He's owned numerous boats over the years. "It's incredible to attend an event for the first time and have one of your customers show you how to do it right." said Ryan Wenk. "Jason invited us to his condo for the shootout which, little did we know, ended up being the best possible place to watch. Check it out here."

There was no shortage of Sunsation owners at the lake this weekend. Zach Harris and Jim Unger were gracious enough to wake up early Friday morning for a photo shoot with Speed On The Water for their annual Year In Review magazine. There may have even been a special appearance from a blacked out 40CCX that looks kind of like this.

"It was a celebration of boaters and a party for the people. Something very different from your normal Poker Run", said Kyle Miller.

Have ideas for what you'd like to see at next year's event? Let us know in the comments below. We saw five manufacturers host events for their customers. We're looking into becoming the sixth in 2023.
